Still finding wonder in every day..(even though we’re still at home ;).
Glenmorangie’s wonder-filled world and this delicious whisky inspired us to create an at-home speakeasy in Cort’s living room. We transformed her light and bright bar corner into a hazy and moody set up that could be straight from Paris in the 60s. We watched Glenmorangie’s campaign video that celebrates a colorful world designed to welcome more people to share the simple joy of their delicious whisky, and were inspired to create a simple yet bold color palette using oranges, blues, and greens…with our outfits, bar styling, and props.
Our inspiration for the mood of the photos was French 60s rock, Wes Anderson’s films, and Glenmorangie’s latest campaign. To create the hazy and “filtered” looking effects, we smeared vaseline on plastic food wrap and attached it to the lens of our camera, then edited the photos to match the warm sensation that you feel when sipping whisky.
While we each like whisky, we enjoy it differently. Jenna chose to sip it neat and Cort made a classic Glenmorangie cocktail recipe. Both are “kind of delicious and wonderful.”
A juicy anagram of our whisky’s name, this is a celebration of all things orange, from its vibrant hue to its tangy citrus flavour. Sweetness and sharpness mingle together in a tribute to Glenmorangie’s favorite fruit.
1.5 oz Glenmorangie Original
15ml lemon juice
10ml orange juice
2 dashes orange bitters
1 tsp orange marmalade
Orange twist to garnish
Place all ingredients in your cocktail shaker and stir to dissolve the marmalade
Add plenty of cubed ice
Strain into a chilled glass
For the garnish, squeeze the orange peel over the cocktail, then run the peel round the rim of the glass before dropping it in
Not to toot our own horns, but this cocktail tasted expertly crafted. And it was so easy to make & enjoy, right here at home!
Glenmorangie are creators of delicious whisky since 1843, and you can tell by the complexity of the palette – smooth, citrusy, and a hint of caramel. This particular campaign reimagines everyday experiences as wonderful moments and tickled our creative fancy to create this world inside of our apartment.
Hope you liked this peak into our creative process and how we bring our ideas to life!
